Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Plain terms for using SudoBizCard. By making an account you agree to them.
1. Your account
One person, one account, a real email address. You're responsible for what happens under it, so keep the password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.
2. Your content stays yours
Everything you put on a card is yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store it, and to show it to the people you send your card to. We don't claim ownership, we don't licence it to anyone else, and we don't use it in our own marketing without asking you first.
You do need the right to use what you upload — photos, logos, names. If a trademark holder objects to something on your card, we'll pass it on and you deal with it.
3. Handles
A card's handle is first come, first served, with exceptions: short names, generic words and recognisable brands are reserved and released through a request from inside your account.
We may reclaim a handle if it impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or was taken in bulk to resell. If we reclaim yours we'll email you first except where impersonation makes that unwise.
Your card also has a permanent address that is not a handle and is never reassigned. If a handle changes hands, anything printed with the permanent address keeps working and keeps pointing at you. That is on purpose, and it is why you should print the permanent one.
4. What you may not do
- Impersonate a person or an organisation you don't represent.
- Use a card for phishing, malware, or to collect credentials.
- Publish someone else's private contact details without their agreement.
- Send bulk unsolicited messages to people who left their details on your card. They gave them to you for a reason; that reason wasn't a mailing list.
- Scrape the service, hammer it with automated traffic, or work around rate limits.
- Resell or sublicense SudoBizCard as your own product without a written agreement.
Breaking these can cost you the account. For anything unclear we'll ask before we act; for impersonation, phishing or malware we'll act first.
5. Paid plans
Plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep the plan until the period you've paid for ends; we don't refund part-months.
If a price changes we'll tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel instead. If a payment fails we'll retry and email you; a plan that stays unpaid drops to the free tier, and cards beyond the free limits become unpublished rather than deleted.
6. Free plans
The free tier is real and is not a trial. It has limits, published in your account, and we may change them — with notice, and not in a way that deletes anything you've made.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service up and we don't promise a percentage. Card pages are built to survive our own outages: if the server is down, a visitor still sees a cached copy of your card and can still download your contact file. That fallback is a feature, not a guarantee.
We'll give notice of planned maintenance that will be noticeable.
8. Your data, and leaving
You can delete a card or your whole account whenever you like, and you can export your contacts before you go. Deleting an account deletes its cards and the records attached to them; see the privacy policy for what survives and why.
If we ever shut the service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a way to get your data out.
9. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 4, that charges back payments, or that we're required to act on by law. Except where the law or ongoing harm prevents it, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Liability
SudoBizCard is provided as it is. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profit, lost opportunity, lost data beyond what our backups hold. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything the law says cannot be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll post changes on this page. For anything material you'll get notice before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. If you don't accept, close the account — that's a fair outcome and we won't make it difficult.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes belong to the Malaysian courts. If you're a consumer elsewhere, this doesn't take away rights your local law gives you.
